The comparison is to compare the discourses of two countries in the refugee crisis in 2015, and the material of the analysis is articles from YLe and Dagens NYheter. To help to analyse the articles the articles, the thesis uses tools from critical discourse analysis and the use of the theoretical framework of securitization theory to analyze these articles. The results of the analysis by the previous tools and the discourses of the media of the two countries are that the securitization language differs and that both countries have concerns and threats regarding the refugee crisis and border cotnrol. However, the most significant difference is that even Sweden introuduced border control, they still found that they had everything in control, even if they took extraordinary actions during the refugee crisis. Conversley, Finland shared its concerns and used language that showed that were concerns but did not take any extraordinary action as the political leaders stated that they had everything under control.
