This study explores the active role of a K-pop idol in shaping parasocial engagement onthe Bubble platform, alongside the influence of media affordances on the dynamic.Using a qualitative approach, the research combines directed content analysis of anidol's self-presentation strategies with an affordance analysis of Bubble’s features. Thefindings reveal that multimediality enhances emotional engagement by makinginteractions more vivid and immersive, features like name insertion and pushnotifications create an illusion of reciprocal communication, while gamified elementsencourage emotional investment, extending parasociality beyond traditionalboundaries.
