Abstract [en]

This thesis analyses the concept of performativity—both gender performativity as well as the newly introduced concept of sex performativity—within BDSM narratives and its corresponding characterisation in Sara Cate’s Salacious Players Club series in order to illustrate the performative aspects of sex scenes and the construction of the characters.
