Sverige är ett av de främsta målländerna för asylsökande. Av denna anledning kommer fler och fler vårdpersonal att möta och vårda en mångfald av flyktingar bland annat inom primärvården dit de först vänder sig när de har behov av sjukvård. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa flyktingars egna upplevelser av primärvård. Utifrån syftet formulerades frågeställningen hur flyktingarna upplever vården och bemötandet inom primärvård. Studien är en kvalitativ empirisk studie. Sex kvinnliga flyktingar på en Komvuxenhet i södra Skåne intervjuades. Som analysmetod användes Burnards (1991) tillvägagångssätt av manifest innehållsanalys. Resultatet visade att flyktingars upplevelser av vård inom primärvården var såväl positiva som negativa. Dock var de negativa upplevelserna övervägande. De negativa upplevelserna utgjordes bland annat av missförstånd och problem med tolk, missnöje med vården på grund av långa väntetider, misstro mot patienten, schablonmässig behandling. De positiva upplevelserna var snabb och tillgänglig vård, positivt bemötande av flyktingar och belåtenhet med behandlingen. Resultatet av studien kan vara till hjälp för bland annat personal och ansvariga på vårdcentralen för att förstå flyktingarnas situation och deras vårdbehov och därmed förbättra deras vård.

Sweden is one of the leading target countries of refugees. For this reason health care personnel will meet a great number of refugees in the Primary Health Care where refugees turn to primarily when they are in need of care. The aim of this study was to illuminate the refugees´ own health care experiences. From the aim of this study the question: “How do refugees experience care and treatment in Primary Health Care?” was formulated. This study is of qualitative and empirical nature and was carried out by conducting semi-structured interviews with six female refugees from a municipal adult education unit in southern Scania. The result of this study showed that refugees´ care experiences within the Primary Health Care were both positive and negative. However the negative experiences dominated the positive ones. The negative experiences comprised of among other things: misunderstanding and problem with interpreters, discontentment about the care due to long waiting times, mistrust against the patient, stereotyping treatment. The positive experiences were fast and accessible health care, positive treatment of refugees and satisfaction with the treatment. The result of this study can be of help for health care personnel in the health centre to understand the refugees´ situation and care needs and therefore improve their care.
