Tidigare forskning pekar på att välfärdstjänster som syftar till att ge stöd åt människor ofta ansvarar bara för en del av individens behov. Vilket innebär att det är vanligt att helhetssynen, vilken ser till samtliga komponenter som utgör en individs liv brister. För att kunna utgå från en sådan så krävs det att de olika verksamheterna som kan finnas runt en individ samverkar. Mot denna bakgrund vill vi undersöka vilka förutsättningar för samverkan som finns mellan personal som arbetar inom daglig verksamhet och bostad med särskild service enligt Lag (1993:387) om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade (LSS). Med utgångspunkt i teorin om sociala representationer vill vi därför ta reda på vilka föreställningar personal inom de båda verksamheterna har om varandra. För att besvara syftet har en kvalitativ metod med semistrukturerade intervjuer använts. Materialet har sedan analyserats med utgångspunkt i teorin om sociala representationer. Studiens resultat pekar på att upplevelserna av den andra verksamheten kan se olika ut men att kommunikation och brukarfokus tycks vara aspekter som personal inom de båda verksamheterna värdesätter, normer och värderingar tycks ofta skilja sig åt.

Previous research indicates that welfare services aimed at providing support to people are often only responsible for portions of the individuals needs. Thus, it is common that the holistic view, which looks at all components that make up an individual's life, fails. In order to use such a view as basis, it is required that the various activities that can exist around an individual interact. In this context we want to examine the conditions for collaboration that exists between staff working in daily activities and housing with special services according to Lag (1993:387) om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade. Based on the theory of social representations, we therefore want to find out which images employees within the two activities have about each other. In order to answer the purpose, a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews has been used. The material has then been analyzed on the basis of the theory of social representations. The result of the study indicates that the experiences of the different activities may look different, but that communication and to have a focus on the person in need of support seems to be aspects that staff within both activities value. Norms and values, though, often seem to diverge.
