Abstract [sv]

Syftet med denna studien var att undersöka hur lärare och rektorer upplever arbetet med elever som har ADHD. För att få lärarnas upplevelser genomfördes semi-strukturerade intervjuer där fem personer intervjuades. Vidare beskrevs pedagogiska förutsättningar i arbetet, elevers rätt i skolan, olika behandlingsmetoder, problem i undervisningssituationen och lärarnas tillvägagångsätt. Teorin KASAM och olika begrepp inom teorin har använts till hjälp för att analysera empirin. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att svårigheter och möjligheterna i lärarnas arbete handlar om vilka resurser och kunskap skolan har. Slutsatser som kan dras från denna studien är att lärarnas behöver obligatorisk utbildning om funktionsnedsättningen ADHD och mer resurser för att kunna arbeta med elever som har ADHD.

Abstract [en]

The purpose of this study was to investigate how teachers and principals experience the work with student who have ADHD. To get the teachers experiences semi-structured interviews was conducted where five people were interviewed. Furthermore pedagogical conditions were described at work, students right in school, different treatment methods, problem in the teaching situation and teachers approach was described. The theory KASAM and different concepts within the theory have been used to assist the studies analysis. The result of this study shows that the difficulties and oppurtunities in the teachers work depends on what resources and knowledge the school has. Conclusions that can be deduced from this study are that teachers need compulsory education about ADHD and more resources to work with students with ADHD.
