Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The goal of this project has been to develop a user-friendly scheduling system that controls various physical moving objects. Its purpose is to trigger motion-detection in a set of surveillance cameras as a part of their testing stage. It is meant to improve and replace existing systems at Axis that already serve this purpose, systems that have certain drawbacks such as cost, motion-quality and other limitations that may affect the overall integrity of the testing data. For it to be an improvement, mainly practical but also economical aspects had to be taken into consideration when designing and developing the scheduling prototype. The finished prototype has the potential to control up to eight different moving objects. Two motion generating objects have been built alongside the scheduling system for proof-of-concept and have been tested together with the scheduler giving successful results. The scheduler and its schedules are configured by a user on a website that has been created as a part of the system.
