Gender and Expatriation : Overcoming Barriers and Building Careers in an International Environment (English)
Abstract [en]

The study aims to deepen understanding of gender dynamics in international mobility and expatriation and investigates the intersection of gender and the labor market, focusing on South American women, particularly Brazilians, in management positions in Sweden. It examines how gender and race shape their career trajectories in a country known for gender equality. Drawing on a literature review, the study explores workplace dynamics, challenges in expatriation, and opportunities. It provides a nuanced perspective on how intersecting factors such as gender and race influence professional experiences, particularly for South American women in Sweden.
