Abstract [en]

This study investigates the effectiveness of interventions aimed at improving maternal mental health among migrant women. The research was conducted through a systematic review and narrative synthesis of the existing literature. Four interventions were found and analyzed, revealing both similarities and differences in their approaches and outcomes. The interventions shared similar themes in terms of content, they are all different in terms of what and how mental health is measured and the structure of the intervention. One online mindfulness intervention showed significant results; however, the study was of low quality, which limits the reliability of its findings. The findings highlight how the topic is limited researched and the need for further investigating to gain a great insight in how an intervention can be effective across different migration groups. Future research should focus on enhancing more quality studies on this topic as well as exploring additional factors that contribute to effective interventions.
