Title [sv]
Title [en]
The outermost safety net in times of pandemic — Women's refuge put under pressure
Abstract [sv]

Projektbeskrivning

Abstract [en]

Project description

The ongoing corona pandemic has affected the work of women's shelters throughout Sweden. Increased violence against women in connection with the pandemic has attracted international attention, both at the UN and at national government level.

That a crisis can increases violence against women has previously been addressed in crisis research, but more research is needed to study how the networks between civil society and municipalities are affected and act during such times.

Research project purpose

The purpose of the research project is to investigate how the women's shelters handle the corona pandemic and how various actors in these activities continuously constitute and shape themselves in relation to the environment in order to continue to maintain the ultimate safety net for women who are subject to violence.
