Title [sv]
Reversibla självorganiserande monolager (rSAMs) för antikroppsfri rening och ultrakänslig och snabb in situ-detektion av virus
Title [en]
Reversible self-assembled monolayers for antibody-free purification and ultrasensitive and rapid in situ detection of viruses
Abstract [en]

In this project, we intend to develop sensitive, robust and low-cost sensors and affinity tools for the analysis of viruses such as adeno-associated viruses and foodborne viruses in water and biological matrices. The approach is based on the combined use of Reversible Self-Assembled Monolayers (rSAMs) and nanoplasmonic optical sensors, all in all, offering an easily restorable surface for virus catch and release and sensors for ultrasensitive real-time virus detection.

The project will be coordinated by Malmö University (MU) and involves three companies: ArgusEye AB, Insplorion AB and Cobra Biologics, one academic partner: Linköping University (LiU), and one government institution: The Swedish National Food Agency (NFA), currently acting as the European reference laboratory for foodborne viruses.
