    Abstract [en]

This study intended to look into which bidding strategies you can find on the Swedish real estate market as well as which feelings a winning bidder can feel after a closed deal. To achieve the purpose of the study and answer the questions, qualitative, semi-structured interviews were used, in which seven winning bidders on the Swedish real estate market were interviewed. To see patterns and different bidding strategies, as well as prevalent emotions after a closed deal, the interviews were transcribed. The results show that there are several different bidding strategies on the Swedish real estate market, where acting cautiously during the bidding was a common behaviour. Furthermore, the result indicates that many emotions arise after a successful purchase, not only good feeling but also a concern whether the winning bidder has made a good purchase or not.
