This is a scoping review about how different types of mental illness stigma affect the help-seeking intentions and behavior of people with mental illness difficulties based on ten articles published by researches. The aim of this study was to examine the many different pathways that exist between different mental illness stigma constructs and help-seeking intention and behavior and also see what other possible factors might condition or mediate these pathways. Both quantitative and qualitative studies have been used. The study shows that what condition help-seeking behavior varies a lot depending on many factors. Different types of stigmas around mental illness and help-seeking itself plus factors such as psychological resilience all contribute.
