Timeless design is an aspiration every designer aims for, for an object to be seen as self-evident in your everyday home. The argument of what categorizes a timeless product has been explored for some time, and evidently it is only with time we can see what designs unquestionably stand out. This essay researches three strategies for a timeless product appearance, that are defined by beautiful, nostalgic and simple design. The method of a semiotic analysis is used to examine three iconic liquor bottles characteristics to reveal if their design agrees with the strategies in mind. The final results show that the strategies are visible in each bottle and can be helpful when aspiring to create a timeless design. Counting a product design as timeless it is critical for the brand to evolve willingly with the core identity and have the consumers' perception in mind to withstand time.
