The aim of this essay is to explore how teachers can raise good social citizens in school. The school’s democratic task is complicated and not many teachers are aware of their responsibilities in the teaching task. And the conclusions that could be drawn from that are, among other things, the importance of deliberative conversations, student influence and positive aspects with students and class councils. The first issue is to clarify teachers' assignments and how to implement this in teaching in order to achieve good results when it comes to citizenship education. The second issue is to find out how the environment can influence students' social upbringing and the result we obtained is that parents have a great influence on their children but also the school and others in the environment such as friends. We will discuss that teachers and guardians should cooperate more for the good of the students. This is so that all students will have the same conditions and chance for development at school, regardless of parents' socio-economic conditions.
