Abstract [en]

This study engages in a comprehensive visual discourse analysis of single covers produced by the Italian rock band Måneskin, spanning from their Eurovision victory in 2021 to September 2023. By focusing on Måneskin, a relatively recent and undeniably successful entrant onto the global music stage, this research endeavor aims to underscore the coequal significance of visual elements alongside the creation of meaningful and interconnected lyrical content in the contemporary music landscape. In an era characterized by the pervasive influence of music, this study seeks to emphasize the enduring and irreplaceable role that visuals play in this context, complementing the process of crafting profound and interconnected lyrics. This equation, posited as essential, serves as a prerequisite for achieving prominence and standing out in a music industry that is increasingly saturated with media exposure
