Language development methods in social sciences (English)
Abstract [en]

The language has a great importance in development and knowledge. Language is a tool for creating comprehension and harmony in social contexts. When we have a language to use, it leads to not just understanding each other or ourselves, but it also plays a huge role in understanding society and our world. Using language as a tool is a way of expressing our thoughts and feelings, to make us truly show who we are and our true identity. The language can likewise be used to explore things, which can make the individual feel liberated and free. It gives us the opportunity of being free and seeing the world and that is an essential part of freedom. The feeling of using a language and understanding the power of it is a feeling of affinity with the world when communicating. The language is at least as important in school as it is in the outside world and being able to have an advantage in it could be life changing. Being able to teach this to the pupils so they can carry it with them and use it in the future plays a huge role in teaching. All subjects in school have a different specific language which can also be mentioned as decontextualized. The meaning of decontextualization is that every subject in school has its own language and therefore they are able to use adequate words that fit. This is the greatest tool for understanding how a language can be used in different ways and how to develop it. Everyone can use a language to speak and communicate, but to understand the weight of the language and how it plays a different role in different aspects is a greater challenge for each and one of us. Thanks to what I have examined. I decided to study the importance of language development to get a view on how to evolve around the knowledge of the pupils. Every pupil has to learn it in order to achieve the goals and requirements that are in the school curriculum. Teachers have the ability and the power to encourage and foster the pupils' language development and give them an opportunity to create a greater understanding, to then, future wise, be able to use it as a tool in different contexts in teaching. In the socially oriented subjects the language is used the majority of the time. The socially oriented subject contains subject-specific concepts, which the pupils need to understand in order to be able to extend their knowledge around the subject's content. In this knowledge overview I have examined the significance of language in schools, the tutors' way of teaching  and how they can develop their teaching techniques in language development in social studies, in order to promote the pupils' expertis.
