Whistleblowing is a term that is gaining more recognition in Sweden. It implies reporting of corruption and other irregularities. Moreover, a whistleblowing-system that protects and encourages whistleblowers, has been more frequently implemented in Swedish municipalities. This paper aims to examine the process, perceptions, and challanges of the whistleblower-system in Landskrona, Klippan and Svalöv municipality; the three municipalities in Skåne region. The results show that whistleblowers and whistleblowing-system is largely seen a s a positive function, but there are some challanges concerning the lack of information about it, which also results in the number of the errands and the types of errands that get reported.
