Child Marriage remains a global issue in this 21st century. Although, there have been several attempts to abolish this human right violation like creating several constitutions like the CRC, ACRWC, CRA, etc. Still, the number of children especially girls getting married before that age of 18 remains alarming. Despite child marriage being a global crisis, it is mostly common in the sub- Sahara Africa and it can sometimes feel like people do not talk about it compared to other rights issues like theWomen Rights, LGBTQ Rights or Gender inequality issues. This thesis gives an insight on how child marriage especially girls rights in the Northern Nigeria is being violated. It as well explores if steps have been taken to eradicate any child marriage in the country and provide possible solution to the problem.
