Green care as social work : Possibilities and prerequisites to establish and run green care in Sweden (English)
Abstract [en]

The aim of this paper is to highlight Green Care as social work in Sweden and its potential to increase in scope. The paper explores currently existing Green Care, what is required to establish and run Green Care, and the role of collaboration between organisations in promoting Green care. The study is based on qualitative content analysis of four reports, one survey and one thesis. Implementation theory and the concept of collaboration are used to understand the conditions needed to establish and run Green Care. The main finding is that while there is an interest in Green Care from both providers and participants, there are several challenges as well. Including deficient organization of green care in Sweden, lack of evidence-based research and little acknowledgement from the research community.
