This study investigates the flipped classroom approach in an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classroom context and focuses on how it may enhance student motivation and learning outcomes. The material was collected through different studies through electronic searches from educational databases. The generic finding across the studies is that a flipped learning environment can be beneficial towards EFL students motivation, engagement, and language improvement. Furthermore, the results of applying the flipped classroom approach present that not only did students become more motivated and achieve higher scores but they became more active in class and with course content. Overall, the revealed findings state that the positive motivational impact has an affective reaction to language development. However, further research is necessary to understand if a flipped classroom can be a long-term solution to a disengaged classroom
