Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The curriculum in mathematics for Gy11, emphasizes proof in the mathematics education. This qualitative study explores how three upper secondary school teachers views on this change. The theory origins from the philosophy of mathematics and from critic of the absolute view of mathematics. The three teachers have a positive view on more proof in the curriculum, but they also claim that the pupils have problems understanding them. My conclusion is that the teachers are unable to take a step outside their own views and reflect on proofs. In my future job as a teacher I will explore what students think about proof and proving.
