Fram till Lgr 80 var idrottslektionerna fortfarande uppdelade mellan könen, men det har sedermera ändrats allt eftersom lagstiftningen förändrats och då med tanke på likvärdig utbildning är ett centralt begrepp inom skolan idag. Men i och med det numer är så att friskolor dyker upp så har denna förändring i vissa fall tagit ett steg tillbaka och det förekommer lektioner i ämnet idrott och hälsa där tjejer är för sig och killar för sig. Detta är något som jag kommer att försöka undersöka, vad ligger det för orsaker bakom detta. Hur ser det ut historiskt med orsaker till varför det tidigare varit könsuppdelat och varför finns det idag med tanke på de styrdokument och vad skollagen säger.

Until the Education Act Lgr 80, the lessons in physical education were still divided between the sexes, but it has changed since the legislation changed and pupils have the right to equal education, this is a central concept in the Swedish schools today. However as more indipendent schools emerge in some cases this change has taken a step back, and there are lessons in the subject of physical education where the girls are taught seperate from the boys. This is something I will try to investigate, what could be the reasons behind this. How does it look historically concerning the causes why it has been gender-divided and how it is today with regards to the Education Act and what does the school's say.
