Abstract [en]

The research synthesis covers the topic of Corrective Feedback in education, determining its impact on language learning and development. In classroom settings, teachers use feedback to support and motivate learners. The synthesising research has the main focus on the various types of corrective feedback and explores their reception and effectiveness on young learners in second language acquisition. The primary emphasis regards EFL/ESL learners in elementary and secondary school. Corrective Feedback can be applied both in writing and orally to encourage students to improve their progression in language learning. The impact of the different types of Corrective Feedback was analysed through a review of applicable journals and articles on the subject. Additionally, the effectiveness of including Corrective Feedback in different approaches, including correcting grammar, vocabulary use, and pronunciation in oral and written skills will be evaluated. The study further compares the different types of Corrective Feedback in classroom settings and its impact on learners emotionally.
