Sammanfattning. Syftet med den här studien var att ta reda på vad en grupp elever i skolår 6 visste om sina resultat i ämnet svenska i skolår 5. Majoriteten av eleverna i gruppen har invandrarbakgrund. Syftet var också att försöka ta reda på om de hade någon uppfattning om orsakerna till det resultat de fick. Studien gjordes med hjälp av en enkät med både fria och fasta alternativ. Alla elever i två klasser, 31 elever, svarade på enkäten. Resultatet visar att en tredjedel av eleverna är osäkra på sina resultat i de nationella proven i svenska i skolår 5. Resultatet visar också att eleverna lägger ansvaret för sina resultat i ämnet svenska på sig själva, oavsett hur det har gått. För att kunna nå målen i svenska i skolår 5 vill eleverna helst ha hjälp och stöd av sin egen lärare. Elevernas framtidstro är stark, med planer på yrken som kräver lång utbildning på universitetsnivå. Flera elever verkar dock ha svårt för att se ett samband mellan studieresultatet i skolår 5 och möjligheten till vidare studier och ett framtida arbete. Slutsatsen av studien är att en betydande andel av de undersökta eleverna, 1/3, inte visste om de uppnått målen i svenska i skolår 5 och att eleverna ser sin egen insats som den viktigaste faktorn för framgång eller misslyckande i skolan

Abstract. The purpose with this investigation was to find out what a group of students in grade 6 thought about their in results Swedish in grade 5. The majority of the students in the investigation have immigrate background. The purpose was also to try to find out wether they had any idea of the reasons to the result they got. The study was made with help from a questionnaire with free and fixed alternative. Every student in to classes, 31 students, answered to the questions. The result shows that one third of the students are uncertain of the results in the national test in Swedish in grade 5. The result also shows that the students assume the responsibility for their result in Swedish, regardless if it is a good or bad result. To be able to reach the objectives in Swedish in grade 5 the students want help and support by their own teacher. The students have a strong believe in the future, with plans for professions that demands long education on university level. Many of the students seemed to have difficulties to see a connection between their results in grade 5 and their possibility to further studies and a future occupation. The conclusion of the study is that a significant part of the students in the investigation, 1/3, did not know whether they had reached the objectives in Swedish in grade 5 or not, and that the students think that their own effort is the most important factor for success or failure in school.
