Med denna uppsatsen försöker jag förstå attityder och mål hos förskolebarn när de utövar estetiska uttrycksformer. Medan jag deltog tillsammans med barnen ville jag se hur mitt förhållningssätt påverkade deras. Genom observationer och intervjuer har jag hittat teman som barnen ger uttryck för då de målar. Dessa teman har jag kallat sociala aktiviteter, sinnlighet, begreppet konst och strategier för att inte tappa ansiktet. Jag har funnit att den sociala aspekten var viktigast för barnen. Genom arbetet har jag fått en större förståelse för hur förskolebarn ser på sitt skapande och hur de ser på estetiska aktiviter. Denna kunnskap kommer att vara användbar för mig i mitt framtida yrke.

This study attempts to understand the attitudes and purposes of preschool children when engaged in aesthetic activities. While participating in painting with the children I wanted to see how a different attitude in me would affect them. Through observation and interviews I have found themes that occupy the children in connection with aesthetic activities. These themes I have called social activities, sensuality, the concept art and strategies not to loose one’s face . I have found the social aspect to be the most important one in the children’s view. Through the sturdy I have gained a greater understanding of how preschool children view their performance and how aesthetic activities are viewed. This knowledge will undoubtedly be of use to me in my future profession.
