År 2015 blev Staffanstorps kommun pilotkommun för trygghetsprojektet Coyards. Verktyget ämnar utifrån att utifrån en mobilapplikation öka tryggheten och effektivisera den redan befintliga grannsamverkan med förbättrade metoder. Kommunens medborgarlöften för 2018-2019 inbegriper samverkan mellan polis och kommun för att bostadsinbrotten inte ska öka, att grannsamverkansområdena ska blir fler och att vidare användning av Coyards ska gynnas. Denna utvärdering av Coyards skedde under 2019 där flertalet medverkande aktörer utfrågades. Vid granskning av materialet har nedan analys gjorts där resultaten påvisar ett tydligt ställningstagande; användningen av Coyards har både underlättat och effektiviserat arbetet med grannsamverkan i den mån att kommunikationen mellan aktörerna blivit mer effektiv. Vidare diskuteras Coyards i jämförelse med tidigare mer traditionella grannsamverkansmetoder. Resultatet påvisade även att informanterna upplever ett bristande engagemang hos Staffanstorps kommun i arbetet med grannsamverkan, vilket kan ses som problematiskt sett till kommunens ovan ställda medborgarlöften.

In 2015 Staffanstorps municipality became the pilot city for the safety project Coyards. It is a mobile application that aims to increase the safety for the citizens and optimize the already existing work with neighbourhood watch with new and improved methods. The citizen´s promises for 2018-2019 involves cooperation between the police and the municipality to make sure that the domestic burglary does not increase, that the neighbouring areas of cooperation should increase in number and that further use of Coyards should benefit. This evaluation of Coyards took place in 2019 and most of the participating actors were inquired. When reviewing the material below the result of the evaluation demonstrate a clear statement; the use of Coyards has both facilitated and streamlined the work with neighbourhood watch mostly because the communication has become more efficient. Furthermore, Coyards are discussed in comparison with traditional methods of neighborhood watch. The result also demonstrate that the informants were experiencing a lack of commitment from Staffanstorps municipality in the work with neighborhood watch, which can be seen as problematic considering the promises mentioned above.
