Abstract [sv]

Aim: Describe nurses’ experiences of collaborating in teams. Methods: A qualitative semi-structured interview study was conducted. The collected material was processed with Graneheim and Lundman, (2004) manifest content analysis. Results: Nurses experienced in working in teams, was a great way to work with the patient. Where all professions sought a common goal. The goal was to give the patient the best possible care. Communication in collaboration in teams considered raising patient safety, and lack of time were considered to be draining to the communication within the team. Which led to deceased patient safety. Conclusion: Education in collaboration in teams such as teambuilding and communication is something that is considered to strengthen optimal collaboration between the different professions. Training for members of management is to be recommended, when all forms of education must be approved and implemented at the managerial level.
