Det har visats att hoppet mellan sjuksköterskestudent och yrkesverksam sjukskö-terska är stort och att det har tagit tid att komma in i rollen som legitimerad sjuk-sköterska. Runt om i riket finns det ett flertal sjuksköterskeutbildningar som varie-rar i utformning olika mycket. Inskolningsperiod eller bredvidgång är därför något som blivit centralt för att mildra övergången från skolbänken till sjukhuskorrido-ren. Det finns också många varianter på inskolningsperioder Syftet med denna studie var att med hjälp av en kvalitativ ansats undersöka nyut-examinerade sjuksköterskors upplevelser och erfarenheter av inskolningen på sin första arbetsplats. Metod: åtta semistrukturerade intervjuer gjordes för att försöka få svar på studiens syfte och frågeställningar som var; Hur påverkar inskolningen tryggheten i yrkesrollen? Påverkar inskolningen utövandet av omvårdnadsarbe-tet? Det insamlade datamaterialet transkriberades och analyserades med inne-hållsanalys inspirerad av Burnard och två kategorier med sju underkategorier ar-betades fram. Resultatet utgörs av två kategorier och sju underkategorier som visade att inskolningen hade stor betydelse för inlärning av rutiner och att perio-den skapade trygghet och en känsla av säkerhet i omvårdnadsarbetet och på ar-betsplatsen. Det sociala nätverket på arbetsplatsen som handledare och kolleger utgjorde var mycket viktigt för skapandet av en yrkesidentitet och en känsla av tillhörighet. Slutsats som drogs är att inskolning var en nödvändighet för den ny-utexaminerade sjuksköterskan där kolleger och handledare spelade en viktig roll för yrkesrollen.

It has been shown that the gap between the role of the nursing student and the employed nurse is big and it has taken time to get into the role as a registered nurse. Around the country there are several nursing educations and the variations in design are all different. That is why the introduction programme has had a cen-tral role as an important part of the transition between the school desk and the corridors of the hospital. The aim of this study was to use a qualitative approach to examine how newly graduated nurses experienced their introduction pro-gramme at their first place of work. The method was carried out with eight semi-structured interviews in order to find answers to the aim of the study including its questions How does the introduction programme affect the sense of security in the professional role? Does the introduction programme affect the performing of nursing? The collected data material was transcribed and analyzed using content analysis inspired by Burnard and two categories with eight sub-categories was developed. The result was built on two categories and seven subheadings that showed that the introduction programme had a big importance for learning routins at the ward. It was also important for the sense of security in the performing of nursing and at the place of work. The social network at the working place that mentors and col-leges formed was very important for the creation of the nursing identity and the feeling of solidarity. The Conclusion that can be found is that an introduction programme is necessary for the newly graduated nurse where colleges and men-tors play an important role for the profession.
