Abstract [en]

Abstract This paper seeks to answer how well the unit managers in a community live up to its responsibility for rehabilitation. What opportunities and obstacles center managers feel that they have in the rehabilitation process and their expertise in rehabilitation are adequate. The essay is based on qualitative, in which six interviews were conducted to help capture the Heads of Unit subjective experiences. Five of the respondents are heads of units in the elderly, and an interview with the rehabilitation coordinator of the municipality. Respondents' comments and relevant literature form the basis for this essay. Analysis has been done with the help of role theory and specifically theater theory. Theatre theory can be compared to a professional role, as they are commonly prescribed roles on how a person should act professionally and that they should leave the role when they go off the stage. The results show that it came mainly from two perspectives. For one thing, some of the unit heads an attitude that rehabilitation coordinator "take over" rehabilitation liability after an investigation stalled, although they are primarily responsible for coworkers. Stated that they have primary responsibility for the employee. The other perspective that emerged of the result is that the unit managers often have dual roles. Then they will both be controlling managers and a care person that cares about its employees.
