Andersson, J & Nilsson, L Vuxna individers behov vid återinsjuknande i cancer. En litteraturstudie. Examensarbete i omvårdnad 15 högskolepoäng. Malmö Högskola: Fakulteten för Hälsa och samhälle, Institutionen för vårdvetenskap, 2012. Diagnosen återinsjuknande i cancer kan ibland upplevas som mer hotfullt än första cancerdiagnosen. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa vuxna individers behov vid återinsjuknande i cancer. Metodvägledning av Willman et al (2011) användes. Resultatet som framkom var tre huvudteaman: behov av relationer, behov av information från hälso- och sjukvårdsteamet och varierat kommunikationsbehov. Behov av relationer bestod av tre subteman: behov av relation med familj, behov av att skydda nära och kära samt behov av delaktighet i relationen med hälso- och sjukvårdsteamet. Behov av information från hälso- och sjukvårdsteamet bestod av två subteman: informationsbehov gällande prognos och informationsbehov gällande behandling. Varierat kommunikationsbehov bestod av tre subteman: Kommunikationsbehov gällande sin behandling, kommunikationsbehov gällande att få tala om upplevelser och komma till insikt samt behov av att bli sedd som en unik individ i kommunikationen med hälso- och sjukvårdsteamet.

Andersson, J & Nilsson, L Adult individuals needs at a recurrence of cancer. A literature review. Degree Project, 15 Credit Points. Nursing Programme, Malmö University: Faculty of Health and Society, Department of Health Care, 2012. The diagnosis of cancer recurrence can sometimes be perceived as more threatening than the first cancer diagnosis. The aim of this study was to examine adult individuals’ needs at a recurrence of cancer. The method guidance by Willman et al (2011) was used. The results that emerged were three main themes: the need for relationships, need for information from the health care team and diverse communication needs. The need for relationships consisted of three subthemes: need for relationships with family, need to protect loved ones and need for involvement in the relationship with the health care team. Need for information from the health care team consisted of two subthemes: information needs in terms of prognosis and information needs regarding treatment. Diverse communication needs consisted of three subthemes: communication regarding their treatment, communication needs regarding speaking about their experiences and come to an understanding and a need to be seen as a unique individual in the communication with the healthcare team.
