Abstract [sv]

Bakgrund: Insjuknandet i stroke ökar och stroke är den tredje vanligaste dödsorsaken i Sverige. Stroke kan även ses som anhörigas sjukdom och det är därför av stor vikt att se över hur anhöriga upplever informationsutbytet med vårdpersonalen. Syfte: Att undersöka anhörigas upplevda behov av information när en närstående insjuknat i stroke. Metod: Litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats. Databassökningarna utfördes i CINAHL och PubMed och granskades med hjälp av en modifierad version av SBU:s granskningsmall. De tio utvalda studierna analyserades utifrån en förenklad innehållsanalys av Forsberg & Wengström. Resultat: Resultatet presenteras med hjälp av tre teman; Svårigheter i informationsutbytet mellan anhöriga och vårdpersonal; Anhörigas informationsbehov över tid; Anhörigas sätt att ta till sig information. Konklusion: Anhöriga upplever brister i informationsutbytet då svårigheter i kommunikationen ligger till grund. Det är viktigt att sjuksköterskan kommunicerar med anhöriga och förstår att de har ett ökat behov av information då anhöriga utgör en central roll i den strokedrabbades rehabilitering och eftervård.

Abstract [en]

Background: The number of Patient onset of stroke increases. Stroke is the third leading cause of death in Sweden. The disease stroke can also be seen as relatives disease and not just the person diagnosed with stroke. It is very important to look at how relatives perceive the information exchange with the health professionals. Aim: Was to investigate the relatives' perceived needs of information when a relative suffering from stroke. Method: Literature review of qualitative approach. The database searches were conducted in CINAHL and PubMed. Examined using a modified version of the SBU's review template. The ten selected studies were analyzed by a simplified content analysis of Forsberg & Wengström. Results: The results are presented using three themes; Difficulties in information between relatives and health professionals; Relatives' information needs over time; Relatives way to absorb information. Conclusion: Relatives experiencing deficiencies in the information exchange as difficulties in communication is the basis. It is important that nurses communicate with relatives and understand that they have a greater need for information when the relatives is central to the stroke victim rehabilitation and aftercare.
