Denna studie hade som syfte att undersöka exponering av steroider i sociala nätverk inom subkulturen Bodybuilding. För att studera detta utfördes en semiotisk innehållsanalys och retorisk textanalys på två Instagram-inlägg och fyra Youtube-klipp från tre kända Bodybuilder-profiler som öppet pratade om användning av steroider samt hur tillskotten bör användas. Analyserna som utfördes hjälpte mig att gå djupare in på studiens ämne. Resultatet av undersökningarna har visat att exponering av steroider inom Bodybuilding är förekommande samt att det diskuterades flitigt i sociala nätverk. Det är ingen hemlighet att kända Bodybuilder-profiler talade öppet om sitt bruk av olaga tillskott och det är inget de skämdes över.

This study had a purpose to investigate exposure of steroids in social networks within the subculture Bodybuilding. To study this, a semiotic - and rhetoric text analysis of two Instagram posts and four Youtube-clips by three well-known Bodybuilders who openly spoke about the use of illegal preparations and how these should be used. The analysis that were made helped me to go deeper into the meaning of the research's subject. The result of the analysis have shown that the exposure of steroids within Bodybuilding was common and fluently being discussed in social networks. It is not a secret that famous Bodybuilders openly spoke about their use of illegal preparations and it was nothing they were ashamed of.
