Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The aim with this thesis is to examine whether the feminist Swedish foreign policy can be understood as a change or continuity. The thesis consists of two parts, first part focusing on the idea and the second on the agent. The section that examines the idea of feminism in foreign policy does this using feminist theory and the method of idea analysis with a focus on ideal types. The section that studies the agent looks at the feminist foreign policy in relation to the Security Council, this through small state theory and case study. In conclusion the thesis concludes that the current feminist foreign policy is in continuity with previous foreign policy.
