The purpose of this descriptive study is to examine how the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation describe Palestinian women in their strategy report 2015 and 2016-2021. Palestinian women face many obstacles that can hinder their ability to participate in many aspects of life. However, Palestinian women carry burdens on their shoulders. Women in Palestinian society have long struggled for their rights not only as women, but as human beings. In addition, practices and restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation affect the daily lives of every Palestinian woman, making it difficult for women to consider increasing their participation in the economic, political and social spheres. The study analyses the work of Kvinna till Kvinna and SIDA. Qualitative research methodology has been utilized throughout this study. This thesis is based on the postcolonial feminist theory which has developed by Chandra Talpade Mohanty will be applied in the analysis together with a method called Critical discourse. SIDA and Kvinna till Kvinna try to find image which are suitable to their agenda, and to bridge the gap, and eliminate the institutional and structural barriers that cause or perpetuate gender discrimination and inequalities in Palestinian society. As the analysis shows, the conclusion of the thesis is that the Palestinian woman has many obstacles which have prevented her to be engaged into the economic world and usually she has considered as victim of the political insecurity. All of this have affected the way the Palestinian woman manages her life, so, SIDA and Kvinna till Kvinna try to find image which are suitable to their agenda. And represent the view of the Palestinian women as a homogenous group.
