Abstract [en]

This article shows the process followed to analyze the game properties of golf, separate them into mechanics, dynamics and aesthetics in order to transfer these to an AR game. The goal of this is to have a human-centered approach having golf fans participating in every stage of the process to achieve the goal of creating enjoyable experiences for them. To do this, enjoyment is studied from the perspective of psychology as a response to the need satisfaction experience and from the point of view of game design, analyzing the role of enjoyment in ludic and paideic experiences and how enjoyment can be the main experiential goal of an autotelic experience or a secondary one in exotelic experiences. Finally, this project follows the design of the AR game, from research and physical prototyping to a finished AR experience. This is followed by an analysis of the results and a comparison of the physical experience versus the digital counterpart.
