Podcastbranschen är på många sätt en mansdominerad värld där topplistorna ofta är överrepresenterade av män (Poddindex 2020). Likväl finns det flera framstående kvinnor i branschen och vi är intresserade av hur dessa kvinnor tar sig fram och gör sina röster hörda, genom användningen av taktiker. Syftet med vår studie är därför att genom ett feministiskt perspektiv undersöka hur unga, svenska mediekvinnor representerar och framställer jaget genom podcastmediet, samt undersöka vilka taktiker kvinnorna använder för att göra sina röster hörda. Med ett feministiskt ställningstagande gör vi detta med hjälp av de Certeaus (1984) teoretiska begrepp om strategier och taktiker, Goffmans (1959; 1988) rollteorier samt genom att använda oss av Bourdieus (1992; 1999) teoretiska ramverk om makt och symboliskt våld. Genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys undersöker vi podcastprogrammen Har du sagt A får du säga B, Daddy Issues samt Della Q. Vi fann att samtliga mediekvinnor använder sig av olika taktiker för att ta plats i branschen och något som samtliga podcasts har gemensamt är kontroversiella uttalanden, humor och frispråkighet.

The podcast industry is in many ways a male-dominated world where the charts often are overrepresented by men (Poddindex 2020). Nevertheless, there are several prominent female podcasters in Sweden, and we are interested in how these women manage to make their voices heard, using different tactics. The purpose of this study is therefore to, from a feminist perspective, examine how young, Swedish media women represent and negotiate the image of themselves through the podcast as well as analyze the usage of different tactics. With a feminist stance we are doing this with the help of de Certeau’s (1984) theoretical concepts of strategies and tactics, Goffman’s (1959; 1988) role theory and by using Bourdieu’s (1992; 1999) theoretical framework on power and symbolic violence. Using a qualitative content analysis, we examine the podcast programs Har du sagt A får du säga B, Daddy Issues and Della Q. We found that all the media women use different tactics in order to take their place in the industry and what all podcasts have in common is the controversiality, humor and outspokenness that occurs in the conversations between the women.
