Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur depressiva vårdtagare upplever primärvården i Malmö stad i relation till rätten till hälsa. Detta har realiserats genom en kvalitativ intervjustudie inkluderat sju personers subjektiva upplevelser, som också utgör en del av deras livsvärld. Livsvärlden är ett vanligt förekommande begrepp inom såväl kvalitativa studier som fenomenologi, vilket också ligger till grund för den vetenskapliga analysen. De individuella erfarenheter som informanterna har av primärvården i Malmö stad belyses med hjälp av en socialkonstruktivistisk teori, som härstammar från bland andra Thomas Luckmann och Peter L. Berger. Upplevelserna kommer också att analyseras i jämförelse med bestämmelser och rekommendationer på internationell, regional, nationell och kommunal nivå. Resultatet visar att informanterna delvis har skilja upplevelser av primärvården i Malmö stad, men generellt att primärvården som erbjuds i Malmö stad inte lever upp till rätten till bästa uppnåeliga hälsa. Analys och diskussion berör också primärvården som institution, samt rätten till hälsa som institution.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how depressed caretakers perceive primary care in Malmö stad in relation to the right to health. This has been realized through a qualitative interview study including seven people’s subjective experiences, which also form part of their lifeworld. The lifeworld is a commonly used concept in both qualitative studies and phenomenology, which also forms the basis of the scientific analysis. The individual experiences that the informants have of primary care in Malmö stad are illustrated using a social constructivist theory, which derives from, among others, Thomas Luckmann and Peter L. Berger. The experiences will also be analyzed against regulations and recommendations at international, regional, national and municipal level. The result shows that the informants partly differ in their experiences of primary care in Malmö stad, but generally that the primary care offered in Malmö stad does not live up to the right to best attainable health. Analysis and discussion also concern primary care as an institution, as well as the right to health as an institution.
