Abstract [en]

2 ABSTRACT The effect of conflict is of global concern especially with regards to humanitarian and security issues that tend to affect socio-economic and political activities in a country. This is the case with the Boko Haram conflict in North-Eastern Nigeria. People have fled their homes to uncomfortable places due to fear of being captured or killed by the Boko Haram group that uses tactical means to implement a change in leadership in the region. The displacement of people because of the conflict has led to issues of poverty, medical challenges, relationship problems and failure to contribute in the development of the area. The objective of this paper is to understand the effects of the conflicts on the people by questioning how people are affected by the Boko Haram conflict in North-Eastern Nigeria.
