Syftet med min studie är att undersöka och förstå mina respondents erfarenheter av sin egen integration i Sverige. Under många år har Sverige varit ett multikulturellt land där människor från hela världen har kommit för att bosätta sig permanent. Eftersom integrationen är omfattande har jag valt att begränsa mig till att fokusera på fem invandrares upplevelser av sin egen integrationsprocess i samhället. Mitt mål med den här studien är att skapa en djupare förståelse för mina respondenters upplevelser av deras integration och uppsatsens fokus kommer att ligga på mina informanters egna berättelser om hur de upplever sin integration efter att ha bott i Sverige i några år. För att uppnå resultat kommer jag att använda den kvalitativa metoden i form av intervjuer. Jag kommer att analysera denna studie med hjälp av Jose Alberto Diazs integrationsmodell som inkluderar olika dimensioner av integration och Erving Goffmans begrepp om stigma. Resultaten visade att integrationsvägen var en individuell process. Alla respondenter upplevde sin integrationsprocess annorlunda, men det som mina respondenter hade gemensamt var att alla är positiva till att utveckla och arbeta med sin integrationsprocess. Resultaten visade också hur viktigt det var för dem att känna sig som en del av samhället och de tyckte att det var viktigt för dem att anpassa sig till det nya landet. Respondenterna upplevde integration i vissa dimensioner svårare än andra. Integration är en process som tar lång tid och respondenterna känner att de inte var lika integrerade i alla dimensioner.

The purpose of my study is to investigaste and understand my respondents´ experiences of their own integration in Sweden. For many years, Sweden has been a multicultural country where people from all over the world have come to settle permanently. Since the issue of integration is extensive, I have chosen to limit myself to focusing on five immigrant individuals' experiences of their own integration process in society. My goal with this study is to create a deeper understanding of my respondents 'experiences of their integration and the focus of the essay will be on my informants' own stories of how they experience their integration after living in Sweden for a few years. In order to achieve result, I will use the qualitative method in the form of interviews. I will analyze this study with the help of Jose Alberto Diaz's integration model which includes various dimensions of integration and Erving Goffman's concept of stigma. The results showed that the path of integration was an individual process. All respondents looked at their integration process differently, but what my respondents shared was that all of them are positive about developing and working on their integration process. The results also showed how important it was for them to feel as part of society and they thought it was important for them to adapt to the new country. Respondents experienced integration in some dimensions more difficult than others. Integration is a process that takes a long time and the respondents feel that they were not equally integrated in all dimensions.
