Abstract [en]

This research examines how a mobile operating panel for an airport’s docking system can be constructed while focusing on the user experience (UX). The research project is done in collaboration with the company ADB Safegate to develop a high-fidelity prototype for them to get an idea of how this can be done. The research collected data and requirements from unstructured and semi-structured interviews from four stakeholders employed at the company. Based on their knowledge, a high-fidelity prototype was made and presented for the stakeholders for additional feedback. From that given feedback, conclusions were drawn based on what works for this type of application and where there is still room for further improvement. The result of this research can be applied to ADB Safegate or other companies in the airport industry and with similar applications. This research also contributes to the limited amount of published research in this specific area of airport equipment.
