Examensarbetet gick ut på att skapa en förvaringsprodukt till kök som bidrar till ett mer strukturerat arbetssätt och bättre ordning i kök. Produkten skulle även bidra till glädje för användaren och medverka till lättillgänglig förvaring. Genom att intervjua och observera hur personer använder sina kök framkom grundläggande information som var användbar för projektet. Även litteraturstudie och intervjuer med personer inom branschen gjordes. Efter en grundlig förstudie påbörjades en designprocess som resulterade i en förvaringsprodukt till kök. Slutresultatet blev ES-förvaring, en produkt som underlättar arbetet i köket då den erbjuder tillänglig förvaring som kan användas och anpassas efter användarens personliga behov. Produkten är utformad för kök med svenska kökssmått och monteras under överskåp. EasySpace är, liksom namnet syftar till, ett enkelt sätt att skapa mer utrymme (eller förvaring) i köket, vilket i sin tur underlättar möjligheten till bättre ordning av köksprodukter.

The aim of this work of exam was to create a storage product which would contribute to a more structured way of working in kitchen and make it easier to keep organized order in kitchen. The product would also make the user joyful and contribute to a more available storage-solution. By interviewing and observing people and how they use their kitchens in their daily lives, basic information and knowledge was discovered which was useful for the project. Relevant literature studies and interviews with people that work in this business were also made. A design process was initiated after a thorough background-study which ultimately resulted in a storage-product for kitchens. The final result is ES-förvaring (EasySpace-storage), a product that makes the work in kitchens easier since it offers reachable storage which can be used and adjusted for the users individual needs. The product is made for the standards of Swedish measurements and is situated right below the upper cupboards. EasySpace is, which the name is indicating, an easy way of making more space (or storage) in the kitchen, which improves the orderliness in a kitchen.
