Denna kandidatuppsats fokuserar på implementeringen av en mobilapplikation på ett företag inom byggsektorn, en industri som är eftersatt när det kommer till digitalisering. Syftet är att identifiera vad företaget kan göra annorlunda för att öka användandet och användbarheten för att vidare kunna främja den fortsatta digitaliseringen av företaget. Studien har utförts som en induktiv studie, där information har samlats in genom litteraturstudier, intervjuer, användartester samt genom webenkät för att samla in data från användarna. När den samlade teorin sedan jämförs med det insamlade resultatet, är det tydligt att användarna har en annan åsikt kring applikationens användbarhet än ledningen. Studien ger, baserad på den insamlade forskningen, ett antal förbättringsförslag för hur användaren bör involveras, vilka återfinns i slutet av kapitel fem. Även om applikation har stor potential, finns det fortfarande möjlighet till förbättring, och utmaningen ligger i att involvera användaren i utvecklingsprocessen, för att på så sätt öka applikationens användbarhet i framtiden.

This bachelor thesis focuses on the implementation of a mobile application at a company within the building sector, an industry that is behind on digitalization. The aim is to identify what the company can do differently to its usage and usability to further fortify the digitalization of the company. The study has been conducted as an inductive research, gathering information through literature studies, interviews, usability tests and by conducting surveys to gather data from the users. When comparing the gathered theories with the collected result, it is clear that the users have a different opinion about the usability of the application than the management. The study gives, based on the gathered research, a number of suggestions for improvement and for how to involve the users, and these can be found in the end of chapter five. Although the application has a lot of potential, there is still room for improvement, and the challenge lies in involving the users in the development process, to be able to increase the usability of the application in the future.
