Abstract [sv]

Andra risker diskuterades även i fokusgrupperna.

Abstract [en]

This essay has been written at the Faculty of Technology and Society at Malmö Högskola. The essay investigates attitude and perception that 16-years old girls have about risky behavior on social media. The purpose with this was to investigate what they think about their own and others behavior. The gathering of empirical material took place through three focus groups with a total of ten 16-year olds over two days. They were discussing questions in a group setting during the moderator’s leadership. Based on what was discussed, assumptions and conclusions could be drawn and put in relation to the collected theories from previous research. In the discussion in this essay the girl’s perception of what is a risk and what it is based on is explored. The differences between this essays findings and previous research findings are being compared on what they find as a risk. The conclusions of this essay are that what can appear as a big risk for a parent to a teenager, is for the teenager a minor risk. The main risk’s that was identified were mean comments and the use of geotags that informs the person in question location. Other risks were also discussed in the focus groups.
