Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This chapter focuses around existential questions within religious education in Sweden an has a special focus on the position of Sexuality and Relations Education. The article explores how well teacher students are prepared to teach the subject matter. Is Sexuality and Relations Education part of their teacher training education, as recommended by stately authorities? If so, what is the central content? One of the main result is derived from a research report conducted during 2016 that mapped the prevalence of the knowledge area within course syllabuses in various teacher programs on all the teacher education institutions found throughout Sweden. The prevalence of the Sexuality and Relations Education is admitted in syllabuses, but more could be done in actual education.
