Abstract [en]

This research paper critically examines the influence of Poland's stance on gender policies and its integration into the European Union (EU). With Poland's EU membership, questions arise about the compatibility of its domestic policies, particularly concerning gender equality, with the supranational framework. Through a comprehensive analysis of policy documents, legal frameworks, and socio-political shifts, this study investigates the extent to which Poland's stance on gender issues affects the incorporation and execution of EU gender policies.

This study examines how Poland's political dynamics and ideological leanings interact with EU gender equality rules using a mixed-methods methodology that incorporates qualitative content analysis and comparative case studies. The study reveals the intricacies of policy adoption, adaption, or resistance within Poland's national setting by looking at certain policy topics such as workplace equality, and representation.

The results highlight the complex interactions between national sovereignty and EU membership, particularly in the area of gender issues. The study clarifies how these elements affect Poland's compliance with EU criteria and the efficacy of policy execution, even if Poland's internal political environment and cultural considerations greatly define its approach to gender equality. As a result, this research helps to elucidate the potential and difficulties Poland encounters as it navigates the integration of gender policies into the larger EU framework. The insights gained from this analysis are pertinent not only for Poland but also for other EU member states seeking to balance their national policies with supranational obligations in the pursuit of gender equality.
