This research synthesis covers the effect of the use of digital tools in teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) to pupils with reading disabilities. The impact of the use of digital tools on pupils with reading disabilities was analysed based on articles presenting results from empirical studies made on the subject. It was found that applying technology in classroom settings make the pupils more engaged with the content, provide them with more opportunities for repetition and practice and make the learners stay more focused. Therefore, even though the effectiveness of technological devices in EFL classrooms must be further explored and investigated, digital tools can successfully be incorporated in EFL classrooms, especially with regards to young pupils with reading disabilities.
