During the last decades, studies about students’ attitude towards science education have increased considerably. Studies from the 20th century have shown that students have a negative attitude towards science education, but more recent studies from the 21th century show more varied results. The studies used as a result in this review, are found in peer reviewed sources. This literature review’s main purpose is to chart studies from 2004 about students’ attitude towards science. Two questions have been central throughout the review: What attitude do students have towards science education? What factors are behind students’ attitude towards science education? The studies show that students have a positive attitude towards science but change towards the more negative the older the student get. Two of the main factors behind students’ atti-tude are the teachers and how they incorporate students’ interest and what they want to learn more about within the education.
