The project aims to evaluate the implementation of a “Methodologic support to the Swedish Police against organized crime locally and in exposed areas”. The evaluation has a specific focus on collaboration with organizations outside the police authority. Researchers from Malmö University work as follow-researchers with various approaches, methods and areas of interest depending on the expressed needs among actors. Studies are made in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Borås.
The methodological support is produced to support the capacity within the police to collaborate and undertake continuous work with external stakeholders. The follow research aims to study how this support tool is implemented in the areas, identify shortcomings and from findings suggest measures. The project also involves a Nordic comparative study. The final results will be presented in a handbook for involved actors, drawing on research findings and presenting these in light of relevant research.
